Decorative Bronze Plate by Nordisk Malm, Denmark, c.1920s

An early decorative cast bronze plate by Nordisk Malm, Denmark, from the 1910s-1920s, with a sculptural relief in the centre depicting a seated female nude. This beautifully patinated piece is closer to jugendstil or art nouveau than the art deco and mid-century designs for which Nordisk Malm later became known, working with designers such as Niels Dam Ravn from the 1930s to the mid-century. Height 1.5cm, Diameter 19.2cm.
