Large Swedish Grace bronze vase c.1930s

This elegant, large vase or urn with beautiful arabesque handles was produced by the firm Nyköpings Ciselörverkstad, which operated between 1930 and 1957 and was based in Nyköping in Southern Sweden. It is made from bronze, with green patina and areas of polished bronze trim. The vase is typical of the style known as Swedish Grace, combining classical elements in its design with modern industrial art, and processes. The vase is of exceptional quality, it is reassuringly heavy, and is in wonderful condition. The base bears the makers name and the distinctive castle or crenelated tower logo.
