Silver web and dewdrop necklace designed by Karl Laine, 1970s

A beautiful and intricate silver web and dewdrop necklace with integral chain, designed by Finnish silversmith Karl Laine in the 1970s. One of his most well known series, the web design, as with much of his work, takes its inspiration from nature. He was the founder of firm Sten & Laine in the late 1960s. Stamped on the fitting alongside 'Made in Finland'. Pendant Height 5.2cm x Width 4cm. Chain (hang length) 35cm.
