Vintage pendant, isolit inlaid with silver, 1965, Perstorp, Sweden, associated with Wilhelmina Wendt

A rare and beautiful vintage pendant, made from isolit inlaid with silver, hallmarked P9 for 1965, and Perstorp, Sweden. The silver is further engraved with incredible detail. It can be associated with Wilhelmina Wendt (1896-1988), who preferred to be know by the nickname "Tiddit". Isolit is a high grade black bakelite or resin, originally made for industrial purposes in the factory of her father, from the late 1920s Wendt pioneered its use in decorative objects and jewellery. She was the first woman in Sweden to be granted the title of "master silversmith". 3.5cm Height (4.7cm including fitting) x 3.5cm Width x 0.4cm Depth.
