Pendant and chain by Seppo Tamminen, c.1960s

Abstract design bronze pendant and chain by the Finnish artist and designer Seppo Tamminen (1944-2012) c.1960s. Tamminen, who was also a painter and visual artist, drew his inspiration from nature so his jewellery is characterised by organic forms. They are often animated by moving parts, as with this pendant, which is on its original chain.  Pendant height 7cm x width 6cm. Chain (hang length) 31.5cm.
